Female Skateboarding is encouraged at I'm G
According to a recent article on eHow.com titled "How to Skateboard for Girls" by Steven Townsend, in the early years of skateboarding it was very rare to see girls on a board. In today's age of internet, video games and the x games, skateboarding has become more than something recreational. It's become a worldwide phenomenon with girls becoming more of a presence on the skateboarding scene. There are a few companies taking notice of the growing female participation in the popular sport of skateboarding. One of them is I'm G Skateboards a partner of I'm G Clothing, a new online clothing line which has expanded its retail services into the selling of skateboards and skater clothing. I'm G Skateboards and I'm G Clothing was started in 2009 by Steve Morris who encourages female skateboarding. Although I'm G Skateboards makes skateboards for all ages and all skill levels they are increasing there designs in both skateboards and skater clothing to ensure that the female skateboarders have a variety of designs to choose from. You can check out some of the skateboards for girls at: I'm G Skateboards for Girls Steve also realizes the importance of the beginning female skateboarder to see and learn from other talented more experienced female skaters so he has reached out with his company to sponsor a young and talented female free style skateboarder. Her name is Ally (AKA) "Lil Skate Chick" from Louisiana. Steve describes her as talented and fearless. You will definitely be seeing and hearing more about her in the years to come, she is a fearless skateboarder who's talent runs though family bloodlines. Her mom used to skateboard in her younger years and is a great supporter of her daughters talents as a freestyle skateboarder. You can view some of Lil Skate Chick's skateboarding tricks in the video below.
